Welcome to Relatively Funny Stuff, a website created to showcase various projects and ventures I have participated in over the years. My name is George Wielgus and I’m a commercial artist/cartoonist who works in the Chicagoland area.
Artistic talent coupled with a less than serious view on life led me to develop a number of comic strips, two of which are featured here – “Triplets” and “View from the Couch”.
My earliest artistic inspiration came from comic books. The possibility to create new worlds and fantastic visions using only my imagination and a pencil sparked a lifelong interest in comics and sci-fi. Several works are featured, including Doctor Who and Star Trek.
Before videogames, the world played pinball. During that time, I got the chance to design and produce a one-of-a-kind machine – “Wire and Cable Wizard”. It is featured in the advertising section.
But enough with the intro. I invite you to check out my comics, illustrations, and Relatively Funny Stuff.
WARNING: OBSCURE REFERENCES WILL ABOUND.
